I’m a huge fan of Classic Hip-Hop. Like most, I live for notorious legends like Biggie and Tupac and love to examine how Hip-Hop music continues to grow and evolve. My generation was lucky enough to witness the birth of Hip-Hop icons like Eminem, Jay-Z and Kanye West but not many artists have done it as fast and vigorously as Young Money Entertainment, founded by Lil’ Wayne.
The label now includes entertainers Lil Wayne, Drake, T-Pain, Tyga, Mack Maine, Jae Millz, and of course the controversial celebrity, Nicki Minaj.
Love her? Hate her? She’s pretty damn colorful and always finds a way to laugh at herself in order to make other people smile. Absorbing a variety of weird and indescribable personalities, Nicki Minaj has found a way to blend a bizarre collage of music styles and sounds into a fresh, creative identity enhancing the unsurpassed success of Young Money Entertainment.
Whenever I hear vocals by artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Birdman, or Nicki Minaj, I can immediately distinguish the unique sound. Whether your a fan of the growing label or not, #YMCMB inevitably seems to hold on to a rapidly increasing influence throughout all of the Entertainment Industry

Music Culture & Evolution: Svet, the Hip-Hop Violinist
This past month has been a chaotic whirlwind of “awesomeness”, especially for my boy Svet, the Hip-Hop Violinist.
We are currently in the process of wrapping up all booking dates for Svet’s Florida tour during March. The series of venues will begin in Tampa and Jacksonville before moving South to Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. On top of finalizing the March booking calendar, Svet and his team have continued working non-stop making Promo and Performance appearances.

Last week #TeamSvet enjoyed a ridiculously sick performance by Svet at the RIT Campus along with a successful promo appearance with Deena from Jersey Shore. Keep an eye on this guy- Plenty of great music and collaborations are on the way.
