“Over the past 15 years, Brad observed a startling change in corporate America; the latest generation of adult workers known as Generation Y grew up immersed in new technologies, such as multi-player video games, Speak & Spell, Internet Pen Pals and a computer in the home. Along with parents who viewed them as peers and a micromanaged activity list of karate classes and dance lessons. And now you expect them to sit in a cubicle for 8 hours a day? They can’t do it.”

“Because each generation after 1977 was raised with technology in their toys, they have learned to manipulate digital information before they could read, write, and sometimes… before they could speak.“Unbeknown to most, companies such as Kodak derive 50% of their current revenue from the same technologies mentioned above. Devices that did not exist 5 years ago that directly take advantage of the working and shopping habits of Generation Y.”

“Will Baby Boomers stop being relevant
in the not too distant future?”

“Szollose studied this phenomenon and realized that everyone—business owners, executives, parents, school teachers and college professors —would be facing a whole new generation that they were incapable of communicating with. Each generation must be made aware of this “cultural” difference and adjust their management methods accordingly if they wish to succeed. The result of this research is Brad’s new book, Liquid Leadership: From Woodstock to Wikipedia – Multigenerational Management Ideas That Are Changing The Way We Run Things.”
“Are you ready to adjust your leadership style to the 21st Century?”

Rochester Native ABBY WAMBACH– FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year

On Monday, Abby Wambach joined Mia Hamm, becoming the second American to be voted FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year.

The 32-year-old soccer player is also a native of my hometown Rochester New York. This past summer I had the pleasure of photographing a Promo Appearance with Olympic Gold Medalists Alex Morgan and Lauren Cheney as well as covering their first game after winning Gold at the 2012 Olympics.

The game was held in Abby Wambach’s hometown of Rochester against the Women’s Costa Rica team. During the London games, Wambach scored five goals alongside teammate Alex Morgan who was also nominated to become the first American winner since Mia Hamm got the 2002 award.

MAXIM MAGAZINE NEW YEARS PARTY AT COPIA NYC

This year I had the pleasure of celebrating New Years Eve in New York City at the MAXIM MAGAZINE Black & White Affair, hosted in collaboration with Kahlua Midnight.

“Founded in 1995 Maxim is an international men’s magazine originating from the United Kingdom and is known for its revealing pictorials featuring popular actresses, singers, and female models.”

The Maxim Midnight NYE 2013 party, hosted at COPIA NYC featured the years hottest models to grace the pages of Maxim Magazine as well as guest DJ’s Rick Wonder and DJ Joe Ferdico in addition to a special live performance by SVET.

The party also featured one of my good friends and new artist to the OPEN BOOKINGS Talent roster, Bobbie Grei. Bobbie is a successful Model/ Recording Artist from Brooklyn and is a finalist in this years MAXIM’s 2013 Hometown Hotties contest.

“In the United States, Maxim is an industry leader, reporting a circulation of 2.5 million readers which they claim is enough to outsell leading competitors GQ, Esquire, and Details combined. The magazine is now using the brand name to market myriad other magazines and projects.”

Adirondack Mountains, New York

The Adirondack Mountains sprawl across 6.1 million acres of land in Upstate New York with peaks reaching upwards of 5000 feet in altitude.

“From a dazzling sunrise illuminating glittering, snow-covered mountains, to the alpenglow of sunset; the Adirondacks of Northern New York offer one of the most colorful, action-packed winters on the east coast. Experience snow like never before – revel in unique winter festivals, challenge yourself on the slopes or ice-skate under a canopy of brilliant stars.”

Fact: The word ‘Adirondack’ originated as a derogatory term given to the Algonquin tribe by neighboring Mohawk, meaning “barkeaters.”

In Animal Love, Cities, Towns & Villages on June 1, 2011 at 6:17 pm

I’ve been taking Stymie to Blydenburgh Park every day to get some exercise and recently found an area of the park where people bring their dogs to swim. The dogs there were really calm and laid back, most of them happy just to get into the water to cool off but once Stymie got there all hell broke loose. He loves chasing dogs and he really loves to swim so the second we got there he started herding all of the dogs right into the water!

The first time I saw Stymie swim was a year or so ago when Greg and I brought him to the beach in Rochester. It was one of those muggy summer days that was perfect for the beach. I figured Stymie would just run around on the beach like he normally does but he stayed right with us while we swam. He even kept up until we got a few yards out into the lake which was incredible to see! The pup was determined to give up. Here are some shots of him terrorizing the dogs at the county park.
